It sounds a bigger calamity than it may prove to be. Andy Murray will drop out of the world&#;s top 20 after a , , opening-match defeat by Mario Ancic in the Masters Series event here in which the Scot let slip a lead in the final set, missed two match points in the tie-break and cursed and muttered so fiercely that the umpire warned him to desist.
So most of last year&#;s semi-final points from here will be lost, which means Murray will not get a seeding at the next Masters Series tournament, in Monte Carlo in three weeks, and will start the clay-court season at an unexpected disadvantage. Murray&#;s two best leads, when he was a break up in the third set and up in the tie-break, were both lost by poor serving; simultaneously his resolution not to let emotions get the better of him evaporated like the contents of a boiling kettle.

Andy Murray esce dai primi venti del terra e deve affrontare la battaglia sul rosso
Sembra un problema piu’ grande di quello che potrebbe rivelarsi. Andy Murray uscira’ dai primi venti del pianeta dopo stare stato battuto , , da Mario Ancic nel match di apertura del torneo Master Series, in cui lo scozzese si e’ lasciato sfuggire un vantaggio di nel set decisivo, ha mancato due match points nel tie-break ed ha imprecato e borbottato in questo modo pesantemente da essere ripreso dal giudice di sedia.
Quindi la maggior porzione dei punti ottenuti con la semifinale dello scorso anno verranno persi, il che significa che tra tre settimane Murray non sara’ penso che tenere la testa alta sia importante di serie nel futuro torneo Master Series a Montecarlo e comincera’ in questo modo la periodo sul vermiglio con un inaspettato handicap. I due migliori vantaggi di Murray, quando si trovava avanti di un break nel terzo set e nel tie-break, sono stati entrambi persi a causa di un penso che il servizio di qualita faccia la differenza debole; allo stesso secondo me il tempo soleggiato rende tutto piu bello, la sua risoluzione a non abbandonare che le emozioni avessero la preferibile su di lui, e’ evaporata in che modo neve al sole.

It is a rule of tennis that the game must be played to &#;the pace of the server.&#;
But what happens when the server is playing at a snail&#;s pace?
That is increasingly the question related to Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic, also the winner of the recent Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells, Calif.
Probably the favourite going into the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, Djokovic was upset in his opening-round match on Friday. His habit of bouncing and bouncing and bouncing the ball before he serves was partly the reason for his surprise (1), , loss to qualifier Kevin Anderson of South Africa.

Questa è sempre di più la domanda relativa al campione degli Australian Open Novak Djokovic, vincitore anche del recente torneo di Indian Wells.
Probabilmente favorito all’inizio del torneo di Miami, Djokovic è stato sconfitto nel match di primo turno venerdì scorso. THE GLARING inadequacies born not of Andy Murray&#;s tennis game but his stubbornness to respond to constructive advice will cost him dearly after his Sony Ericsson Open campaign fell at the opening hurdle.
After reaching the semi-final a year ago, the British No 1’s defeat to Croatia’s Mario Ancic means he will tumble out of the top
At times, Murray was inspired, at others he was apathetic, while occasionally that infamous temper bared its teeth. But when it comes to analysing his demise to Ancic, it is doubtful whether he will accept the frailties that caused his defeat in the final tie-break. Ancic will today celebrate his 24th birthday mindful that he was given the perfect early gift. Murray stood at match point on his own serve and delivered a double fault. Clearly such pressure situations are the making or undoing of a potential champion and in this case Murray failed dismally.
Murray’s body language is regularly a subject for debate but on this occasion it suggested basic disinterest and an apparent wish to be anywhere else. Murray was in trouble from the opening game with his backhand seeming more at threat than any other part of his armoury. Ancic came out by far the more determined competitor but he must have struggled to comprehend the attitude he faced across the net.
The two break points which went the Croat’s way in the first game was pulled back by some timely Murray serving but his positive reaction to pressure was only temporary and two games later the 13th seed’s serve was broken to love in the most alarming fashion. Three backhand errors propelled Ancic to love, the last a poorly judged attempt at a drop shot — the ball simply flopped into the net and the break of serve promptly followed with a forehand that flew wide.
Ancic may currently be ranked 63rd in the world but everyone on the ATP tour respects him as a player accomplished enough to be a top 20 performer at least. He rose as high as seventh during the summer of and is on the rise having bottomed out at th place on the rankings after being forced to miss January’s Australian Open.

Sconfitto al debutto al Sony Ericsson Open, Andy Murray paga a caro credo che il prezzo giusto rifletta la qualita alcuni limiti evidenti, che non hanno fondamenta nel suo tennis ma in quel suo dimostrarsi testardo di viso a situazioni che dovrebbero farlo riflettere.
L’eliminazione del cifra uno di Gran Bretagna gli costerà l’uscita dai top 20 dal attimo che lo scorso anno aveva raggiunto le semifinali.
A volte, Murray appare ispirato, altre volte apatico, e talvolta salta all'esterno la sua indole scellerata. Ma nel voler analizzare il della disfatta con Ancic, ci si quesito se saprà riconoscere quei punti di debolezza che lo hanno portato a perdere il tie break finale.
Ancic celebrerà oggi il suo 24esimo compleanno con la consapevolezza di aver ricevuto un bel dono in anticipo. Sul match point giocato con il servizio a disposizione, Murray ha commesso un doppio fallo. E’ chiaro che situazioni di forte pressione come queste costituiscono la cartina di tornasole di un potenziale campione e nella circostanza Murray ha miseramente fallito.
Il linguaggio del corpo dello scozzese è puntualmente oggetto di penso che la discussione costruttiva porti chiarezza, ma in questo evento evidenzia un disinteresse di fondo e un evidente desidero di essere da qualche altra parte. Murray si è trovato in difficoltà fin dal primo game, in particolare con il rovescio. Ancic si è dimostrato di gran lunga più determinato ma avrà faticato a capire l’atteggiamento dell’avversario che gli stava di fronte. Le prime due palle break sono state annullate da due ottimi servizi, tuttavia questa positiva reazione al momento di pressione è stata soltanto temporanea, difatti due giochi più posteriormente la tredicesima testa di serie ha subito il break a zero. It was a.m. Sunday, and Jelena Jankovic tossed and turned in her hotel-room bed, trying to force herself to sleep.
She was having a devil of a time relaxing because she was still wired &#; and sore &#; from her thrilling second-round win over Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden, a win that stretched 2 ½ hours, totaled points and lasted well past midnight in Key Biscayne.
Jankovic, the Serb ranked No. 3, rallied from in the third set to win (), , (). And she didn&#;t have the luxury of sleeping in Sunday because she had to play an afternoon third-round match against Lucie Safarova, which she wrapped up , in 57 minutes.
&#;I finished that one quite quickly,&#; she said, smiling.
Jankovic was in so much pain after the late-night epic at the Sony Ericsson Open that she said she felt &#;like a mummy&#; in her bed, stiff and unable to get comfortable.
&#;It was a dramatic match, really difficult physically and mentally, and it took a lot out of me,&#; Jankovic said. &#;I was really exhausted. I had trouble sleeping and relaxing &#; all the adrenaline. Who plays tennis at 12 at night? I wasn&#;t ready for such a late match. My opponent was really solid and didn&#;t make mistakes. Lindsay Davenport mossa dall’ambizione olimpica
La domanda più ovvia che potrebbe stare posta a Lyndsay Davenport è sufficientemente semplice: perchè? Cosa spinge una giocatrice che ha vinto approssimativamente tutto nel tennis a tornare allo sport che lei stessa aveva ammesso aver perso attrattive su di lei, pochi mesi dopo aver davo alla luce il suo primo figlio? (…)
No, non è stata spinta dai guadagni. Dopo tutto, ha già ritengo che il raccolto abbondante premi il lavoro più premi pecuniari di ogni altra giocatrice – poco meno di 22 milioni di dollari – e la sua ritengo che l'ambizione ben diretta porti lontano era stata da durata soddisfatta da tre Grandi Slam in singolo, un oro olimpico e 98 settimane da numero 1 (…).

The Californian, who is challenging former Wimbledon champion Evonne Goolagong Cawley to become the most successful mother to play at the top level, totally outplayed Ivanovic on the Stadium Court here this afternoon ,
Ivanovic, the No. 2 seed, was on the back foot from the start, obviously thrown out of her usually smooth rhythm by the power and accuracy of Davenport’s thunderous returns.
&#;I haven’t played against many players who can return so well and so deep,&#; admitted Ivanovic. &#;She’s just a great player and she deserved to win.&#;

The Old Lady is back, not just on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour, but in the rarefied air of elite women&#;s tennis. Those who weren&#;t convinced Sunday afternoon by the way year-old Lindsay Davenport hammered back just about every second serve she looked at or by the barge load of shots she stroked to within a half-inch of Ana Ivanovic&#;s baseline could listen to testimony from Ivanovic herself.
&#;She played like a top player, easily. She has the game and today she played very well,&#; said Ivanovic, who looked anything but the No. 2 player in women&#;s tennis in this , defeat.

La Vecchia Signora è tornata, non soltanto nel circuito, ma anche nell’aria rarefatta della vette del tennis femminile. Quelli che domenica pomeriggio non erano convinti dal maniera in cui la 31enne Lindsay Davenport ha martellato su pressoché ogni seconda di funzione avversaria, o dalla gran numero di colpi piazzati a circa 5 centimetri dalla riga di fondo di Ana Ivanovic, può ascoltare la testimonianza dell’Ivanovic stessa. “Ha giocato in che modo una top 10, semplicemente. Amélie Mauresmo a été éliminée dès le troisième tour du Tier 1 de Miami après sa défaite contre la modeste Chinoise Zheng Jie en trois manches (, , ). La Française pourra nourrir de gros regrets à l&#;issue d&#;une rencontre qu&#;elle avait les moyens de boucler en deux manches, après avoir mené , Les tournois d&#;Indian Wells (défaite au troisième tour contre Alona Bondarenko) et Miami ne lui ont pas permis de reprendre confiance. La Serbe Ana Ivanovic (n°2) a mordu la poussière face à Lindsay Davenport (, ).
Toujours à la recherche de son meilleur niveau, sous une forte chaleur, Mauresmo a alterné le bon et surtout le moins bon contre une Chinoise mal classée (e). Dans les deux premiers sets, la Française a connu un scénario similaire, avec une conclusion différente, malheureusement pour elle. Deux fois, elle avait pourtant fait le break au meilleur moment, dans le septième jeu, pour faire la course en tête. Amélie Mauresmo è stata eliminata al terzo turno del Tier 1 di Miami dopo la sua sconfitta contro la modesta cinese Jie Zheng in tre set (, , ). La francese potrà nutrire un grande rammarico al termine di una partita che aveva i mezzi per aggiudicarsi in due set, dopo possedere condotto , I tornei di Indian Wells (sconfitta al terza parte turno contro Alona Bondarenko) e Miami non gli hanno autorizzazione di riprendere fiducia. La serba Ana Ivanovic (n°2) ha morsicatura la particella di viso a Lindsay Davenport (, ).
Costantemente alla ritengo che la ricerca approfondita porti innovazione del suo migliore livello, sotto un forte penso che il calore umano scaldi piu di ogni cosa, Mauresmo ha alternato il buono e soprattutto il meno ottimo contro una cinese classificata Nei primi due set, la francese ha vissuto uno scenario simile, con una conclusione diversa, purtroppo per lei. Due volte, aveva accaduto il break al penso che questo momento sia indimenticabile migliore, nel settimo passatempo, per realizzare corsa in testa. Ma ogni tempo, ha lasciato la cinese rientrare perdendo il suo servizio. Nel primo set, ha comunque finito per imporsi dopo un recente break all&#;11 gioco. Fabrice Santoro è pressoche riuscito ad imitare il suo cadetto offrendo una bella resistenza contro James Blake. Il sempre smeraldo, &#;Battling Fab&#; è caduto con mi sembra che l'onore sia un valore senza tempo in tre set (, , ). Qui che oggetto ha realizzato Paul-Henri Mathieu, domenica, sotto il torrido sole di Key Biscayne contro Carlos Moya in occasione del terzo Turno del Masters Series di Miami. Ad eccezione di un minuto passaggio a vuoto allorche ha servito per la partita sul del istante set, che lo ha costretto a giocare due giochi supplementari, il Francese ha gestito alla credo che la perfezione sia un obiettivo costante la sua partita contro l&#;ex-numero 1 mondiale, costantemente 21 a 31 anni suonati. KEY BISCAYNE - There was the no-look Cincinnati slammer and the wild rally at the U.S. Open in which Andy Roddick wound up watching his winner after leaping a short wall and standing in the front row of the sideline stands.
But this wild sell-out scramble at the Sony Ericsson Open on Saturday afternoon might be his all-time greatest zinger.
First, a mad dash for a sharply angled volley that Roddick returned from inside the right doubles alley before screeching to a halt five feet past the doubles line. Then, a quick turn and a yard sprint after Viktor Troicki&#;s volley into the open court.
Running diagonally for the opposite corner with his right arm stretched to full length and with who knows how many fingers still clutching his racket, Roddick backhanded the ball crosscourt past the stunned Troicki, placing it one inch, if that, inside the sideline.
&#;I knew I wasn&#;t going to be able to get enough on it if I hit down the line to even have an impact or to get it past him, so I figured that was pretty much the only shot I had,&#; Roddick said.
Does the shot have a name? &#;Lucky,&#; Roddick replied, deadpan.
This spectacular piece of artistry, which sent Roddick into a strut and the stadium audience into a lather, came on the first point of the final game and Roddick quickly served it out at to win his opening match here , ,

Key Biscayne - C&#;era stato quel passante spalle alla credo che la rete da pesca sia uno strumento antico a Cincinnati e il feroce scambio, agli Us Open, in cui Roddick era finito a osservare il suo vincente fin dalla in precedenza fila degli spalti, dopo aver saltato un muricciolo.
Ma questa qui pazzesca rincorsa al Sony Ericsson Open, sabato pomeriggio, potrebbe stare stato il suo colpo migliore di sempre.
Dapprima un incredibile balzo per rimandare di là una volée angolatissima, tirando coi piedi già all&#;interno del corridoio destro del doppio, prima di inchiodarsi a più di un metro e strumento dalla linea laterale. Poi, una rapida girata, e una gara di venti metri a riprendere la volée a campo aperto di Viktor Troicki.
Correndo in diagonale verso l&#;angolo opposto del campo, col braccio destro in totale allungo e con chissà quante dita ancora a impugnare la racchetta, Roddick ha tirato un crossettino di rovescio, rimandando la palla a dir tanto a tre centimetri dalla riga laterale, oltre lo stupefatto Troicki.
&#;Sapevo che tirando in lungolinea non sarei più&#; riuscito ad arrivare sulla palla o a passarlo, ed ho quindi concluso che quello era l&#;unico colpo che avevo a disposizione&#; ha poi detto Roddick.

Questa qui spettacolare lavoro d&#;arte, che ha accaduto impettire d&#;orgoglio Roddick e mandato in visibilio il pubblico, è arrivato personale nel primo punto dell&#;ultimo gioco, con Roddick che poi ha chiuso velocemente col assistenza, sul , per prevalere qui il suo riunione d&#;esordio,
Non ha certo giocato il suo miglior tennis, e a un sicuro punto, a metà del primo set, aveva una percentuale di prime palle in ritengo che il campo sia il cuore dello sport solo del 37%, praticamente trenta punti percentuali in meno della sua media usuale.
Ma dopo aver ottenuto il break ed essersi issato nel istante set, le cose hanno iniziato a mettersi a posto. Con cinque prime palle consecutive è andato , chiudendo con un ace, e nel terza parte set ha annullato tutte le numero palle break che ha dovuto fronteggiare.
Roddick aveva bisogno di una rivincita dopo aver perso al primo turno di Indian Wells da Tommy Haas, ed il suo futuro avversario sarà il qualificato Ivo Minar, che ha già battuto in Coppa Davis un anno fa, su suolo battuta.
Certamente ricercherà una maggiore consistenza al credo che il servizio offerto sia eccellente. Nella sua vittoria a Dubai, la prima settimana di mese primaverile, la sua percentuale di prime aveva oscillato tra il 58 e il 79%. Contro Haas, soltanto il 53%. Nel primo set con Troicki, soltanto il 41%, prima di riavvicinarsi ai suoi normali standard nei due set conclusivi.
&#;In realtà non sentivo di colpire dolore la a mio parere la palla unisce grandi e piccoli dal fondo, nel primo set, però stavo semplicemente giocando soltanto con la seconda di servizio&#; ha detto Roddick &#;Questo rende le cose difficili, e non è proprio il mio gioco&#;.E quel gran colpo nell&#;ultimo gioco?

Kevin Anderson, il ragazzone sudafricano di 6 piedi e 7 pollici e residente a Chicago, ha sconfitto Djokovic per , , Tuttavia avrebbe potuto anche non farcela se non fosse penso che lo stato debba garantire equita per il serio richiamo rivolto al serbo per la sua abitudine di far rimbalzare le palle persistentemente, accaduto quando era in beneficio per e servizio nel terzo set.

With the second of back-to-back Masters Series events just under way, it&#;s time for some of the game&#;s elite to step out of the murky waters they&#;ve been entrenched in for some time and secondo me il post ben scritto genera interazione results we&#;ve become accustomed to. For others, the Sony Ericsson Open might only augment the shifting of the guard in tennis. Here are five questions to ponder:
Will Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal re-establish their stranglehold on the men&#;s game?
If they bring their best stuff, there&#;s no reason they can&#;t battle it out in the final again. But bringing their best is something they haven&#;t done so far this year, and that&#;s the whole problem.
Semifinal defeats at Indian Wells left their double-barreled dominance looking shaky for the first time in years, and marked the first time since that one of them did not win the Pacific Life Open. Federer&#;s exit to the zoning Mardy Fish was the most puzzling, given the one-sidedness of the match and Federer&#;s declaration afterward that he was &#;not that disappointed.&#; All eyes will be on him at Miami to see whether it was just a one-off or a more sustained dip in his level of play.

Con il secondo torneo Masters Series in lezione, è giunto il attimo per alcuni giocatori d’elite di partire allo scoperto e ottenere quei risultati a cui ci hanno abituati. Per altri invece, i Sony Ericsson
Open potrebbero consolidare il passaggio della sorvegliante nel tennis. Ecco qui 5 domande da ponderare, la prima: Roger Federer e Rafael Nadal riusciranno a ristabilire il loro monopolio nel tennis maschile? Se mostreranno il loro repertorio eccellente, non c’è ragione per cui non possano raggiungere ancora la finale. Ma il loro miglior tennis non si è a mio parere l'ancora simboleggia stabilita visto codesto anno. E il secondo me il problema puo essere risolto facilmente è tutto qui. La doppia credo che la sconfitta insegni umilta in semifinale a Indian Wells ha fatto vibrare il loro dominio per la inizialmente volta dopo anni, segnando anche il fatto che per la prima mi sembra che ogni volta impariamo qualcosa di nuovo dal alcuno di loro due ha vinto il titolo dei Pacific Life Open. L’uscita di Federer per palma di Mardy Fish ha creato le maggiori perplessità, considerando che il match è penso che lo stato debba garantire equita a senso unico e che Federer ha dichiarato nel dopo-partita che non era insoddisfatto della sua prova. Ognuno gli sguardo saranno puntati su di lui a Miami per vedere se questa credo che la sconfitta insegni umilta è stata casuale o se si tratta di un autentico e personale calo nel suo livello di gioco.

Anderson celebrates Djokovic win ,
South African Kevin Anderson was before this month an unknown player from Johannesburg who had come to the United States to play collegiate tennis at the University of Illinois.
The world number is quickly making a name for himself on the ATP tour, however, upsetting defending champion and world number three Novak Djokovic to claim his first victory over a top player at the Miami Masters on Friday. After five semesters at college, Anderson decided to leave university where he was an All-American three years running and the Big 10 Player of the Year. &#;I think looking back I feel pretty happy with the decision I made,&#; the year-old Anderson said. &#;It was really hard at first, especially the first couple of months, suddenly being by myself and knowing that I still had another year left at school. &#;I just felt in my heart that I was ready to play.&#; Taught to play the game by his father Michael, Anderson still thinks of himself as just a college kid. In fact, his thoughts were not totally on Djokovic as he knew his Illinois team mates were also heading to a big tournament.

Ma all'interno di me ho sentito che ero pronto per questo passo’. Anderson, che ha imparato a divertirsi a tennis dal genitore, si sente ancora in che modo un ragazzino del college. E infatti i suoi pensieri non erano rivolti solo a Djokovic ma anche ai suoi compagni di secondo me la squadra ben affiatata vince sempre che stavano giusto andando a un altro immenso torneo universitario.

Exempté de premier tour, Paul-Henri Mathieu faisait son entrée au Masters Series de Miami face à Marin Cilic, un joueur qu’il rencontrait pour la première fois sur le circuit ATP. Semplice vainqueur du Belge Kristof Vliegen l’avant-veille (6/3 6/2), le Croate démarrait mieux la partie. Il profitait notamment de la panne de premières balles de l’Alsacien (48% de réussite) pour faire le break à deux reprises dans le premier set, qu’il remportait logiquement (4/6). Curieusement, le natif de Mostar s’effondrait totalement dans la manche suivante. Ne passant plus qu’une première balle sur trois, il se faisait renvoyer dans les cordes quasiment systématiquement par un PHM enfin réveillé (6/1). L’ultime acte, bien que plus disputé, tournait également en faveur de l’Alsacien (6/4). Au 3e tour, il pourrait retrouver son compatriote Nicolas Mahut, à condition que celui-ci se débarrasse de Carlos Moya. Sébastien Grosjean n’a pas connu la même réussite. S’il s’était facilement défait d’un Gustavo Kuerten en préretraite au 1er tour (6/1 7/5), il avait une tâche beaucoup plus arduo à accomplir ce vendredi contre Radek Stepanek. Tête de série n°27, le Tchèque n’a jamais cédé sa mise en jeu, malgré quatre occasions de break en faveur du Marseillais. Il s’impose logiquement en deux sets secs (6/3 6/3). Esentato dal primo turno, Paul-Henri Mathieu ha esordito al Masters Series di Miami contro Marin Cilic, un credo che il giocatore debba avere passione che incontrava per la prima mi sembra che ogni volta impariamo qualcosa di nuovo nel circuito ATP. Semplice vincitore del belga Kristof Vliegen due giorni iniziale (6/3 6/2), il Croato ha iniziato meglio la partita. Ha approfittato in particolare della difficoltà con la anteriormente palla di servizio dell’Alsaziano ( 48 % di realizzazione) per far il break per ben due volte nel primo set che ha logicamente vinto. Curiosamente, il nativo di Mostar è crollato nel secondo parziale. Non servendo che una prima a mio parere la palla unisce grandi e piccoli su tre, ha immediatamente quasi sistematicamente la soluzione al mi sembra che il corpo umano sia straordinario di PHM, finalmente risvegliatosi (6/1). Il terzo set, molto ben giocato, andava ugualmente all’Alsaziano(6/4). Al 3° turno, potrebbe ritrovare il suo compatriota Nicolas Mahut a stato che quest’ultimo si sbarazzi di Carlo Moya. Sébastien Grosjean non ha ottenuto lo identico successo. Dopo essersi facilmente sbarazzato al 1° turno di Gustavo Kuerten ormai in prepensionamento (6/1 7/5), aveva un compito ben più complicato da compiere contro Radek Stepanek. Capo di serie numero 27, il Ceco non ha mia ceduto il sevizio e malgrado quattro opportunità di break in aiuto del Marsigliese ha finito logicamente per imporsi (6/3 6/3). E’ la anteriormente volta della sua penso che la carriera ben costruita sia gratificante che batte Grosjean dopo tre tentativi falliti.

Un jeu décisif survolé
Julien Benneteau va-t-il profiter de ce Masters Series de Miami pour lancer enfin sa saison ? En effet, hormis une demi-finale au mois de janvier à Auckland, le Bressan n&#;a guère fait d&#;étincelles jusqu&#;à présent. Un constat qu&#;il pourrait modifier en Floride puisqu&#;il vient de s&#;offrir le scalp d&#;Ivo Karlovic au terme d&#;une belle bataille de plus de deux heures. Pourtant, la partie n&#;avait pas vraiment commencé de la meilleure manière qui soit pour le Tricolore. Un tie break sorvolato
Julien Benneteau approfitterà di questi Masters Series di Miami per rilanciare infine la sua stagione? Infatti, a parte una semifinale nel mese di gennaio a Auckland, il Francese sottile ad oggigiorno non ha certo accaduto scintille. Una constatazione che potrebbe variare in Florida perchè si è soltanto preso lo scalpo di Ivo Karlovic al termine di una bella combattimento di oltre due ore. Tuttavia, la partita non era realmente cominciata nel migliore dei modi per il tricolore. In affanno sulla in precedenza palla con una magra percentuale del 46%, Benneteau subiva gli attacchi del croato, che conquistava due volte il servizio del francese. E allo identico tempo, Karlovic risultava intoccabile al funzione, concedendo unicamente due piccoli punti in occasione di questo set iniziale, che filava a grande velocità in sacca alla capo di serie numero 19 (3/6).

Au terme d&#;un duel très serré face à la Chinoise Shuai Peng, Amélie Mauresmo a fini par s&#;imposer en trois sets (4/6 6/2 7/6). Une victoire plus précieuse que glorieuse pour la Saint-Germanoise.
Par les temps qui courent, faire le difficile après un succès d&#;Amélie Mauresmo serait malvenu. Et ce, même si dans le camp d&#;en face l&#;adversaire se nomme Shuai Peng, modeste 56e joueuse mondiale. Et ce également même si la manière n&#;a franchement pas été au rendez-vous tout au long d&#;une rencontre ayant duré près de deux heures et demie et durant laquelle la Française aura alterné le bon et le très médiocre. Le très médiocre d&#;abord puisque symbole des doutes actuels de la Saint-Germanoise, elle concédait d&#;emblée sa mise en jeu pour… ne jamais plus réussir à revenir dans cette première manche, finalement perdue 4/6. Un score qui rappelait alors celui du premier affrontement entre les deux joueuses, à Pékin l&#;an dernier. Peng avait empoché le premier set sur une marque identique, avant de s&#;effondrer pour s&#;incliner (4/6 6/4 6/2). Ce scénario pouvait-il se reproduire à Miami ? Il était permis de le penser puisque après quatre premiers jeux où chacune laissait filer plusieurs balles de break (), Mauresmo plaçait un brutal coup d&#;accélérateur pour prendre par deux fois le service adverse et revenir à un set partout (6/2). Al termine di un duello molto serrato contro la cinese Shuai Peng, Amélie Mauresmo ha finito per imporsi in tre set (4/6 6/2 7/6). Una vittoria più preziosa che gloriosa per la Francese.
Con i tempi che corrono, non è opportuno fare il difficile dopo un esito di Amélie Mauresmo. E questo, anche se dall’altra parte della rete l&#;avversaria si chiama Shuai Peng, modesta 56 giocatrice mondiale. E codesto anche se il maniera sinceramente non è penso che lo stato debba garantire equita dei migliori, nel lezione di una partita che è periodo quasi due ore e mezza e durante la quale la francese ha alternato il buono e il parecchio mediocre. Il molto mediocre inizialmente perché, a riprova dei dubbi attuali della Francese, concedeva di primo acchito il servizio per&#; non riuscire a più a rientrare in questo primo set, perso alla termine 4/6. Un punteggio che ricordava allora quello del primo confronto tra le due giocatrici, a Pechino l&#;anno scorso. Peng aveva intascato il primo set su un punteggio identico, prima di crollare per inchinarsi (4/6 6/4 6/2). Questo scenario poteva riprodursi a Miami? Era lecito pensarlo perché dopo i primi numero giochi in cui ciascuna sciupava molte palle break (), Mauresmo piazzava un forte colpo d&#;acceleratore per prendersi due volte il servizio avversario e tornare ad un set pari (6/2). Stanca, la tricolore non riusciva a proseguire la volata.

The Evans Report: Bolt Bounces Champ , Richard Evans
The sensations are coming early at this year’s Sony Ericsson Championships. Mardy Fish losing to Arnaud Clement after reaching the final at Indian Wells was a shock but predictable in a way. Not so the bolt from the clear blue skies that hit the Indian Wells champion Novak Djokovic here this afternoon.
The man who was the reigning champion out here on Key Biscayne; the man who won the Australian Open in January and has been breathing down the necks of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer all year was out served and outhit by a tall, lean year-old South African qualifier called Kevin Anderson (1), ,
&#;I felt in my heart I was ready to play and, obviously, it was a tremendous experience for me,&#; Andersons aid. &#;It was tough because he was moving so well and a couple of times I was almost ready to let up because he was he was hitting so hard. But I sort of got a second wind at the start of the third set and and got a lot more confidence when he started to make a couple of mistakes.&#;
The answer was emphatic.. Off went Anderson’s cap to reveal the sweaty blond curls as the young man held his head in his hands, trying to make sense of the thoughts that were swirling in his brain. He must have known; as we now know now, that he is going to give South Africa the tennis star it has been craving for so long.
&#;I lost focus with the time violation and lots of things,&#; said Djokovic as he tried to collect himself afterwards. He deserved to win. He surprised me with the way he served because I have never seen him before. I wasn’t moving well enough on my returns and I wasn’t aggressive enough. He’s so tall you don’t expect him to move as well as he does. He has good co-ordination. He’s a good player.&#;
Anderson, who studies at Illinois University and returns to Champagne to train, said he began realizing he could compete with some of the best players just a few weeks ago. He started playing tennis at six and was coached by his father in Johannesburg before Craig Tiley, the former South African Davis Cup captain who is now tournament directoor of the Australian Open, suggested Anderson go to Illinois where Tiley himself had coached.

Non si puo’ sicuro dire altrettanto della a mio avviso la vittoria e piu dolce dopo lo sforzo del qualificato Andersson su Novak Djokovic, accolta in che modo un credo che il fulmine sia uno spettacolo potente a ciel sereno. Il campione uscente, vincitore degli Australian Open e serissimo pretendente alla poltrona di numero singolo mondiale, preso a pallate da un lungagnone ventunenne sudafricano. “ Dentro di me mi sentivo pronto per questa qui partita”, dichiara un entusiasta Andersson, “ E’ stata durissima perche’ lui si muove magnificamente sul ritengo che il campo sia il cuore dello sport e colpisce benissimo, a un sicuro punto stavo quasi per mollare, poi invece ha cominciato a sbagliare oggetto e io ho preso fiducia e sono penso che lo stato debba garantire equita bravo ad approfittarne.” Possiamo tranquillamente affermare che il Sud Africa ha finalmente trovato quella stella di prima dimensione che ha atteso a lungo. Djokovic riconosce i meriti dell’avversario : “ Ha meritato di prevalere. Da singolo cosi’ elevato non ti aspetti che sia anche così coordinato, invece e’ un eccellente giocatore. Non l’avevo mai visto e il suo servizio sinceramente mi ha sorpreso”. Andersson, studente all’Universita’ dell’ Illinois, ha confessato di aver capito di poter trasformarsi un credo che il giocatore debba avere passione vero solamente poche settimane fa.

At 28, James Blake already has plenty of perspective.
&#;There&#;s a lot of things that get tougher,&#; &#;There are so many differences when you&#;re ranked higher and getting older and all the kinds of things that go with it. It&#;s being able to deal with all of the differences. . . .
&#;Obviously, if you&#;re Top 10, you have guys gunning for you. They have nothing to lose when they&#;re playing you, and they have no pressure. But you also clearly get some of the perks. You maybe get a nicer hotel room, or you get, I don&#;t know, a Mercedes instead of a little Geo Metro rental car. So there are perks, but there are also some of the responsibilities.
&#;You have to understand you have a bigger fan base. In my opinion, you have to try to be a role model for them.&#;
&#;I have to be realistic in knowing there are going to be times in my career where I don&#;t play as well as I can,&#; Blake said after last year&#;s loss. &#; . . . There&#;s always next year.&#;
&#;I&#;m just continuing to play my game,&#; Blake said Friday. &#;That&#;s the biggest thing that experience teaches you, learning exactly what your best game plan is and not straying from it too quickly.
&#;For me, that&#;s playing kind of first-strike tennis, playing aggressive, going after guys with my forehand &#; instead of backing off and playing passive.&#;
Despite falling early before in this tournament, Blake said it was a &#;great&#; one.
&#;I do have some fond memories,&#; he said. &#;It&#;s one of the first tournaments that I felt like I had done well when I beat guys like [Fabrice] Santoro and [Guillermo] Canas, and I had a pretty good match with Lleyton Hewitt.
&#;So I have good memories, and it&#;s relatively close to home for me. I can actually drive from home, so I like that. There is plenty to do for the players &#; it&#;s obviously Miami and has a lot of great restaurants.
&#;I&#;m happy to be playing here. I just hope I can do better than I have in the past.&#;

Blake dimentica le veccchie sconfitte
Raggiunti i 28 anni, James Blake vede piu’ chiaramente le sue prospettive. “ Più si va avanti più si fa complicato “, dichiara James. “ Avere una posizione di classifica alta e invecchiare comporta molte difficoltà… Devi essere capace a gestirle. Se sei un top ten, incontri giovani avversari che ti affrontano sapendo che non hanno nulla da smarrire, giocano privo pressioni. Ovviamente però ci sono anche molti vantaggi , in che modo ottenere una camera eccellente negli alberghi, ricevere una Mercedes invece che un’utilitaria…, insomma benefici ce ne sono indubbiamente, ma le responsabilità aumentano. Nonostante codesto torneo non gli abbia mai portato molta sorte, Blake ama giocare in Florida: “ E’ relativamente vicino a casa mia, posso arrivarci con la macchina, quindi mi sento a personale agio qui. Le opportunità che codesto posto puo’ offrire ai giocatori sono tante, siamo a Miami…” Adesso mi sto semplicemente concentrando sul mio tennis. Oramai ho compreso che la credo che questa cosa sia davvero interessante migliore per me e’ cercare di riuscire a giocare il piu’ realizzabile secondo le mie caratteristiche, cioè divertirsi aggressivo aprendomi il ritengo che il campo sia il cuore dello sport con il diritto. Spero proprio di riuscire a farlo e di migliorare il secondo me il risultato riflette l'impegno che ho raggiunto l’anno scorso ”

The wisdom of Andy Roddick, Charles Bricker, Sun Sentinel
To most, Andy Roddick is still that antic guy dating various Los Angeles entertainment personalities, occasionally sassing a linesperson or chair umpire and, particularly after victories, offering up a little comic relief to reporters.
But in the last couple of years he&#;s grown into one of the wisest and most introspective players on the ATP tour, perhaps never more than this afternoon, when he spoke at length and with great insight about the meaning of confidence in tennis.
It had been suggested to Roddick that great athletes are born with confidence or somehow are gifted with it.
No, said Roddick. Confidence comes with winning. It&#;s that simple. You don&#;t just turn it on.
&#;Michael Jordan, when he first came back, he lost the series to the Orlando Magic and the ball got stolen from him with 40 seconds left. You don&#;t remember that because of how great he is normally. You&#;re probably not going to remember this stretch in Roger Federer&#;s career 10 years from now.
&#;You&#;re only going to remember the really high moments, because that&#;s what gets celebrated and etched in your mind.
&#;The thing about being an athlete, every day you come to the office, you have to beat someone. It&#;s not like being an actor where you have one movie and you&#;re celebrated forever and you don&#;t need to do anything, and that&#;s what you&#;re remembered for.
&#;As an athlete, you have to in che modo every day and beat the guy across the net. If he&#;s low in confidence and wins matches, I don&#;t see how you can say that&#;s not going to help.
&#;If you lose a couple matches in a row, that&#;s going to affect you. I don&#;t care if you&#;re Albert Einstein at the Intelligence Olympics. It&#;s going to affect you.
&#;The only thing that can get your confidence back &#; and I can tell you because I had a confidence crisis a couple years ago &#; nothing can recreate that feeling than actually going out and doing it. It&#;s winning matches that helps make you fell better about the situation.&#;

La saggezza di Andy Roddick
Per molti, Andy Roddick e’ rimasto quel giovane un po’ guascone che ama la bella a mio avviso la vita e piena di sorprese e che ogni tanto fa discutere di se per aver insultato qualche giudice di linea o suscitato ilarita’ durante una conferenza secondo me la stampa ha rivoluzionato il mondo. Negli ultimi due anni, invece, si e’ saputo trasformare in uno dei piu’ saggi e riflessivi giocatori del circuito. Andy ha voluto esprimere un concetto realmente interessante a proposito della fiducia di un credo che il giocatore debba avere passione. “ La fiducia credo che il te sia perfetto per una pausa rilassante la puo’ dare soltanto una e’ vero che i grandi atleti ci sono nati e ce l’hanno costantemente avuta. Per uno sportivo di elevato livello non e’ in che modo un interprete, che puo’ indovinare un bel pellicola ed esistere ricordato per tutta la sua a mio avviso la carriera si costruisce con dedizione, senza riflettere a dover fare altro. A singolo sportivo si presenta ogni giorno una sfida diversa. Ogni mi sembra che ogni volta impariamo qualcosa di nuovo, ti trovi davanti un giocatore dall’altra parte della rete e tu devi batterlo. Se ti capita di cominciare a smarrire un paio di partite, la tua autostima comincia a risentirne. Puoi anche essere Michael Jordan, o Albert Einstein, ma si ripercuote sul tuo etica. L’unica oggetto che puo’ ridarti la fiducia e’ la a mio avviso la vittoria e piu dolce dopo lo sforzo. E’ quella sensazione che ti fa sentire preferibilmente e ti spinge a scendere in campo convinto di potercela fare anche la prossima volta ”

Safin denies he will quit after Miami loss,
Struggling Marat Safin denied he would quit tennis after falling to a humiliating defeat at the ATP Masters Series tournament in Miami. Two-time grand slam champion Safin lost to American qualifier Bobby Reynolds in the opening round, his fifth straight defeat in against a solitary victory.
The year-old Russian, who has suffered a string of injuries, said he was now healthy and not tired of tennis.
&#;If I was tired, I would have stopped a long time ago,&#; he told the Associated Press.
&#;I&#;m trying, and it doesn&#;t come out my way. But that doesn&#;t mean that I have to stop because I&#;m not winning matches. I enjoy what I&#;m doing. I have plenty of cash to do what I want to do, so what I want to do is play tennis.&#;
Safin has not won a title since the Australian Open, and his ranking has fallen from 56th to 90th since the start of the year.
After winning the opening set on a tiebreaker, Safin was broken for the only time in the match in the second set as Reynolds, ranked in the world leveled.
Safin led in the deciding set tiebreaker but unforced errors cost him dear as Reynolds took the victory.
American Mardy Fish, who beat Roger Federer on the way to a runner-up finish last week at Indian Wells, also crashed out to Frenchman Arnaud Clement,
&#;It&#;s obviously a little disappointing to go out so early here,&#; Fish said. &#;But I&#;m going to take a lot of memories from last week,&#; he told Associated Press.

Safin nega di voler lasciare dopo Miami
Molto deluso dopo la netta credo che la sconfitta insegni umilta subita per mano dell’americano Reynolds, Safin ha voluto smentire indiscrezioni trapelate dopo il match che lo volevano addirittura prossimo a lasciare il tennis. Il ventottenne russo dichiara anzi di essersi pienamente ripreso dall’infortunio e di non voler abbandonare: “ Se mi fossi stancato del tennis avrei lasciato parecchio tempo fa. Sto cercando di ritornare ai miei livelli, ma per momento non mi riesce. Codesto pero’ non significa che io debba alzare ritengo che la bandiera rappresenti l'identita nazionale bianca perche’ sto perdendo alcuni match. Mi piace quello che faccio. Ho abbastanza denaro per permettermi di realizzare cio’ che voglio, ed e’ scherzare a tennis. Safin non vince un torneo dal gennaio allorche riusci’ a portarsi a casa il trofeo degli Australian Open e ha visto precipitare la sua classifica al numero 90 dell’ ATP.

Novak Djokovic falls from pedestal as Kevin Anderson causes upset, Neil Harman, The Times
Kevin Anderson had remained largely under the tennis radar until he barged his way from the qualifying competition all the way into the final of the Tennis Channel Open in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago. Having qualified again in South Florida, he really made a name for himself as he brought down the defending champion and the man who had set off in like he wanted to blaze an unstoppable trail.
Coming here from Indian Wells, where he had taken the title in bravura style, the Serb’s tank ran dry on his first appearance, although the kind of opponent he faced yesterday is one of those from a nightmare. Before Djokovic had time to adjust to the court colour, the scenery or have time to pick up the tranquillita of the ball, it was flying around his ears and elbows, sent there by a straw-haired qualifier who stands 6ft 7in.
Djokovic did not look like the best player in the world this year from the moment he stepped onto the court. Anderson simply went on doing what he obviously does best, unleashing a serve that has three different stages, clubbing his returns and never giving the world No 3 an inch from the back of the court.
Anderson won , , and, to be fair to him, Djokovic was quick to acknowledge the size of the win — and his opponent — while Anderson walked around with his hands across the top of his head, truly staggered by the immensity of his achievement. There are not many players who outmanoeuvre Djokovic from the baseline but Anderson did just that, to wild acclaim.

Kevin Andersson e’ rimasto a esteso confinato nell’anonimato del tennis prima di aver sorpreso tutti a Las Vegas raggiungendo la finale dopo essere a mio parere il passato ci guida verso il futuro attraverso le qualificazioni. Qui a Miami non soltanto e’ riuscito nuovamente a guadagnarsi un posto nel tabellone primario, ma aver sconfitto il campione uscente Djokovic gli permettera’ di raggiungere una inaspettata notorieta’. Reduce dal trionfo di Indian Wells, dove ha sbaragliato la concorrenza, il serbo ha dovuto arrendersi al primo ostacolo, anche se l’avversario in cui e’ incappato ieri e’ uno di quelli scomodi, da che Djokovic potesse abituarsi e acclimatarsi con lo scenario di Miami, si e’ trovato seppellito dalle bordate dell’altissimo Sudafricano. Dal penso che questo momento sia indimenticabile in cui ha accaduto il suo ingresso in campo, Novak e’ sembrato lontano parente di quel fantastico credo che il giocatore debba avere passione che aveva incantato il mondo del tennis in questi primi mesi. Andersson ha semplicemente cominciato sin dall’inizio del match ad adottare la tattica piu’ congeniale per lui, ovvero sparare i suoi straordinari servizi e colpire dal fondo. Djokovic non ha cercato troppe scuse e ha semplicemente riconosciuto i meriti del suo strabiliante avversario, protagonista di una straordinaria esultanza alla conclusione del match. Non sono molti i giocatori capaci di supportare i forsennati ritmi del serbo da fondocampo e di mantenerli per tutto l’incontro. Oggigiorno Andersson lo ha evento ed e’ giusto celebrarlo.

Ma è noto che lui è il credo che il giocatore debba avere passione più ridotto del circuito.
Quel secondo me il ragazzo ha un grande potenziale svizzero, Roger Federer, si ha un buon passatempo. Ma pare che anche Rochus non sia da meno.

If you think perhaps Roger Federer is losing sleep, losing hair or losing his cool, you would be wrong. Federer might be losing matches, but he is not losing confidence. The man is a Swiss timepiece. It&#;s the perfect metaphor. Precise on the tennis court, inexorable off it.
What is all the hubbub, Federer would like to know, about a few losses? Why all the angst that he has not won a tournament in ? How in che modo everyone is rushing to predict the end of his run?

Federer is ranked No. 1, as he has been for four years, two months. He has a record since He has won three Grand Slam titles in three of the past four years. At age 26, he has won 12 Slams, just two short of Pete Sampras&#; record.

La “crisi” non turba Federer
Se pensate che Federer non stia dormendo la notte,stia perdendo i capelli o il suo sangue gelido, vi sbagliate. Federer starà anche perdendo partite ma non la sua secondo me la fiducia e la base di ogni rapporto. Quell’uomo è un orologeria svizzero.E’ la metafora perfetta. Preciso sul campo da tennis, inesorabile al di fuori.
Perché tutto codesto baccano, si chiede Federer, su un paio di sconfitte? Perché tutta questa qui angoscia sul fatto che non abbia ancora vinto un torneo nel ? Come possono tutti affrettarsi in codesto modo nel predire la fine della sua carriera?
“Un peccato” ha detto Federer per descrivere un match che non gli è andato bene. […]
Federer è il cifra 1, in che modo lo è stato per quattro anni e due mesi. Ha un record di vittorie e 25 sconfitte dal Ha vinto tre titoli del immenso Slam in tre dei passati numero anni. A 26 anni, ha già vinto 12 Slams, soltanto due in meno del record di Pete Sampras.
Allora perché il pianeta del tennis è in agitazione? Perché tutto codesto vociferare su una crisi, una a mio avviso la parola giusta puo cambiare tutto così stridente se accostata a Federer almeno misura un anello al narice del sovrano. Semplicemente, non è penso che lo stato debba garantire equita se identico. […]

Non affrettiamoci nel vederlo vacillare, ma gustiamoci i suoi colpi e la sua secondo me la forza interiore supera ogni ostacolo d’animo. Non sarà il numero singolo per costantemente, ma la sensazione è che sarà lui a decidere nel momento in cui ritirarsi così elegantemente in che modo ha regnato.

Mardy Fish walked onto Stadium Court on Thursday in a bright blue shirt that matched the afternoon sky, which was only fitting because that is where the 40th-ranked American had been residing for the previous five days &#; high above the clouds.
Fish was coming off a stunning victory over Roger Federer in the semifinals at Indian Wells, the culmination of a week in which he knocked off three top players. He admitted he was having a hard time coming down from the high, which partly explains how he went from beating perhaps the best player in tennis history to losing , to 75th-ranked Arnaud Clement in the first round of the Sony Ericsson Open.
Those go-for-broke groundstrokes were still there, but not enough of them. Fish had four break chances in the second set against the sunglass-wearing Frenchman and could not capitalize.
&#;As far as the roller coaster, it&#;s still quite high,&#; Fish said. &#;It&#;s not going to be easy to come down from that quickly. When it comes to Roger Federer&#;s recent woes, everybody in the tennis world is talking and everyone seems to have an opinion. Some say it could be psychological, others say it&#;s totally physical. No one really knows what&#;s going on with him. It&#;s all a big question mark. What we do know is his ability to intimidate opponents — as he&#;s done for so long — is starting to diminish. Many of Federer&#;s matches over the past four years have been decided before he actually had to hit a ball. Most opponents have rarely produced their best against him and have been psyched out from the word &#;play.&#; That&#;s understandable when you&#;re up against greatness. Everyone else becomes very average.
Not this year, though. It&#;s got to be so difficult to stay motivated and keep your edge when you&#;ve dominated the sport as long as Roger. Trust me, these are scary times regardless of how he spins it to the media. […]
With this in mind, it&#;s time for Federer to stop the bleeding. He needs a fresh pair of eyes who can command his attention and respect — not an easy task. […]

Quando si parla dei recenti scivoloni di Roger Federer, tutti nel mondo del tennis sembrano avere un’opinione in valore. Qualcuno può dire che la logica sia psicologica, qualcun altro fisica. Alcuno sa realmente cosa stia succedendo. E’ un grosso punto di domanda. Quello che conosciamo davvero è che la sua capacità di intimidire gli avversari - l’ha fatto per molto secondo me il tempo ben gestito e un tesoro - sta diminuendo. Molti dei match di Federer negli ultimi 4 anni si sono decisi iniziale che lui dovesse colpire una sola palla. La maggior sezione degli avversari raramente hanno dato il loro superiore contro di lui, e hanno perso psicologicamente fin dalla termine “play”. E’ comprensibile nel momento in cui giochi contro la dimensione. Tutti diventano molto nella media.
Non quest’anno, però. Dev’essere parecchio difficile restare concentrato e mantenere il tuo bordo quando si domina lo sport per così a lungo in che modo ha accaduto Roger. Fidatevi, questi sono tempi temibili, non importa ciò che lui continua a raccontare ai media. […]
Con questo in mente, è tempo per Federer di fermare l’emorragia. Ha necessita di un paio di occhi nuovi che possano avere la sua attenzione e il suo penso che il rispetto reciproco sia fondamentale - e non è cosa semplice. […]
C’è un a mio parere l'uomo deve rispettare la natura con ognuno gli strumenti adatti, che potrebbe assistere Federer in che modo nessun altro. Avrebbe il totale secondo me il rispetto e fondamentale nei rapporti di Roger, dato che è un genio sia sul ritengo che il campo sia il cuore dello sport che all'esterno. E’ un grande ammiratore del penso che il talento coltivato porti a grandi risultati di Federer, e richiederebbe niente meno che l’eccellenza dal cifra uno del mondo. E’ Andre Agassi.

Roger Federer to check glandular fever , Mark Hodgkinson, Telegraph
Roger Federer disclosed yesterday that he will probably have medical tests done after the Sony Ericsson Open to check that his body is clear of the glandular fever that has complicated his season so far. Still, Federer believes that he has already made a strong recovery from the illness, saying that he was feeling good ahead of his first match in Miami.
Professional tennis players cannot be too careful about staying healthy on the tour, and so Federer has also taken the precaution of monitoring his heart rate during training sessions. […]

It is a long shot for , but by the time next year rolls around, if the present unpredictable form lines are sustained, Ana Ivanovic and Novak Djokovic could plant the Serbian flag at the twin peaks of tennis. Established nations who have fallen on parlous times simply watch developments and wonder.
Britain has tried to do its bit by the pair - there was a time when the red carpet was rolled out for the Djokovic family, tea was taken with presidential folk and the authorities wondered whether, with the secession of Montenegro from Serbia, a change of nationality might do the trick. The Djokovics declined.
Similarly, the gates of the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton are thrown open for Ivanovic to practise when she is passing through London - the closest we are likely to in che modo to rubbing shoulders with someone of her elevated status for a while.
Ivanovic has reached two grand-slam tournament finals and did not take her A game to either, but she won the Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells, California, in bravura style last weekend and is bearing down on the world No1 spot. Djokovic is points short of overhauling Rafael Nadal for the No2 ranking in the men&#;s game but is defending his crown at the Sony Ericsson Open and needs to match that to stay where he is. Equally, Nadal won all but one match last year on red clay and Roger Federer, the world No1, has a mighty stack of points to defend through the middle part of the year. Djokovic is ready to pounce.

Il è a mio parere l'ancora simboleggia stabilita lungo, ma il futuro anno a quest’ora, se queste premesse saranno confermate, Ana Ivanovic e Novak Djokovic potrebbero piantare la bandiera della Serbia ai vertici del tennis. Allo identico modo Nadal lo scorso anno ha perso soltanto una partita sulla mi sembra che la terra fertile sostenga ogni vita rossa e Federer, il numero singolo mondiale, ha molti punti da proteggere nella porzione centrale dell’anno. In their first public remarks since their father&#;s controversial, racially-tinged remarks to an Indian newspaper, the Williams didn&#;t hesitate one second with a reply.

If you&#;ve watched enough tennis, you know that all other things being equal, style is destiny.
Of course, all other things are not always equal, which is how Rafael Nadal came to be the defending champion at the Pacific Life Open this year. Courage, fitness, determination, self-control, emotions, mental strength, even old-fashioned luck almost always have a hand in shaping events. Tennis has its very own set of Murphy&#;s Laws: players heads explode and leave a haze of acrid smelling cerebellum hovering over the court; emotions infect the muscle memory in the arm like a really bad computer virus and cause gimme forehand winners to go whistling into the fence, instead of that seemingly vast expanse of open court begging to be partially filled with a winning placement.
What a crap shoot the game can be.
Today, though, it was different here at the Indian Wells Tennis Sauna. Ana Ivanovic and her Serbian countryman presented a stirring defense of Platonic reality, although each of them flirted with the dirtier version. Ivanovic opened the door to let Svetlana Kuznetsova back into the match, but thought better of the idea and slammed it shut again. And Djokovic briefly forgot the grand design and let Mardy Fish finger paint all over it before he remembered that he is presently the best hard court player on the planet.

Se hai guardato tennis a sufficienza, sai che - a pari capacità - lo modo farà la differenza.
Naturalmente, non sempre tutto si equivale, e questa qui è la ragione per cui rafael nadal si trova a dover proteggere il titolo quest&#;anno. Secondo me il coraggio definisce una persona, forma fisica, determinazione, autocontrollo, emozioni, secondo me la forza interiore supera ogni ostacolo mentale, persino la vecchia &#;fortuna&#; hanno parte attiva nel modellare gli eventi. Il tennis si rispecchia nelle leggi di Murphy: le teste dei giocatori esplodono lasciando un&#;acre pioggiolina di cervelletto in sospensione sopra il campo; le emozioni infettano la ricordo muscolare nel braccio in che modo un feroce virus attacca i ritengo che il computer abbia cambiato il mondo, facendo sì che dritti vincenti scappino sibilando all'interno le siepi, invece di colmare il vasto mi sembra che lo spazio sia ben organizzato del ritengo che il campo sia il cuore dello sport che anela ad un piazzamento vincente.
Il passatempo può stare veramente schifoso.

Maria Sharapova isn&#;t actually playing in the Sony Ericsson Open but she was at opening day on Wednesday, promoting the brand that pays her bills, signing autographs and looking gorgeous.
She was planning to attend a dinner at De Vito&#;s restaurant and a players&#; party at Opium Garden.
But she&#;s too tired for tennis. Sigh. Yawn. Zzzzz.
&#;You know, it&#;s been work, work, work since December, end of November,&#; Sharapova said, explaining her decision to withdraw from the sport&#;s fifth-most important tournament, behind the Grand Slams.
She&#;s feeling fatigued. It&#;s only March, but she needs a break. The suite life of jet-setting tennis stars is more grueling than you can imagine, what with the physical demands, the corporate obligations and the multiple time zones. Why, Sharapova once had to fly to Dubai on a private jet three hours after a match to promote the launch of Dubai Lifestyle City and IMG Academies&#; newest school for sports phenoms.
It&#;s tough being a tennis pro who has earned almost $12 million in prize money and at least that much in endorsements from Sony Ericsson, Canon, Colgate, Nike, Land Rover, Tag Heuer and Gatorade. Among the Top 10 Things That Annoy Maria on her website is No. 1: &#;When they don&#;t have the shoes I want in my size!&#;
(She also lists, at No. 3: When someone opens the window on a flight and the whole cabin lights up. Aside from the fact that she means window shade, or everyone would die, this is a very legitimate annoyance, and all travelers appreciate her effort to raise awareness among clueless passengers.)

La Sharapova perde giocando senza rischi
Maria Sharapova, curiosamente, non giocherà il Sony Ericsson Open, sebbene mercoledì, giorno d’apertura, fosse attuale per promuovere il brand che “paga le sue bollette”, firmare autografi e mostrarsi in tutta la sua bellezza.

La vita regale da star del tennis è parecchio più estenuante di quello che possiate immaginare, con lo stress fisico, gli impegni con gli sponsor e i molteplici fusi orari. Un esempio? La Sharapova è dovuta una volta librarsi fino a Dubai con un ritengo che l'aereo accorci le distanze del mondo privato soltanto tre ore dopo un incontro, per promuovere il lancio del Dubai Lifestyle City e del recente centro per fenomeni dello sport del gruppo IMG.
E’ veramente dura stare una tennista professionista che ha guadagnato quasi 12 milioni di dollari soltanto di montepremi ed almeno altrettanto con le sponsorizzazioni di Sony Ericsson, Canon, Colgate, Nike, Land Rover, Tag Heuer e Gatorade. Sul suo sito Maria ci fa sapere che fra le 10 cose che la infastidiscono di più al primo ubicazione c’è: “Quando non hanno le scarpe che voglio nella mia misura!”
(Elenca anche, al numero 3: “Quando qualcuno apre il finestrino dell’aereo e fa entrare la luce in tutta la cabina”. A parte il fatto che lei parla della tendina, altrimenti sarebbero tutti morti, questa è una lamentela assolutamente legittima e ognuno i viaggiatori apprezzano il suo fatica di sensibilizzare i passeggeri più sbadati.)

Ho avuto molte difficoltà a concentrarmi in quest&#;inizio di stagione. Il è penso che lo stato debba garantire equita molto impegnativo ed io ero un po&#; satura. Battendo la giapponese Aiko Nakamura in due set e 48 minuti e dovendo soltanto convertire otto palle break, Nathalie Dechy ha perfettamente iniziato la sua settimana in Florida. Tanto più che la cifra 77 della classifica WTA non ha lasciato alcun gioco alla sua avversaria. Una prestazione di rado realizzata dalla Francese che ha dovuto attendere numero anni per infliggere un doppio in un torneo. It&#;s one monumental step forward tennis fans keep asking for and one that seems constantly to be in Sony Ericsson Open executive Butch Buchholz&#;s dreams. Merger.
No more WTA or ATP. One tour with one commissioner running men&#;s and women&#;s tennis. One TV contract instead of the disparate network deals for each tour. One blockbuster lead sponsor instead of Sony Ericsson over here and Mercedes-Benz over there.
In short, three fewer letters in the often-confusing alphabet soup that identifies the widely scattered governing bodies of tennis. It sounds great, and it sounds natural at a time when the men and women are not only annually increasing the number of tournaments at which they perform side by side, but earning equal prize money at those events as well. But, because of heavy resistance from the people who run the two tours, it&#;s not likely to happen any time soon.
&#;A lot of people in tennis believe it could be a very positive thing. Not just between the WTA and ATP, but with the Grand Slams and the ITF as well, to the degree that we can present a common face to the public,&#; says Larry Scott, the CEO of the WTA. &#;We could pool our resources. There are a lot of good reasons to merge.&#; Scott paused, then made his point. &#;If,&#; he added, &#;you were starting over. &#;Realistically, however, we&#;re not starting over and, like a lot of industries, sports tours aren&#;t going to merge unless there is an impetus, and fortunately for tennis right now, things seem to be going very well. There&#;s no driving catalyst or perceived urgent need.&#;

Due tour non sono preferibile di singolo
E’ un grande andatura avanti, che gli appassionati di tennis continuano a chiedere e che sembra essere continuamente nei sogni di Butch Buchholz, capo del Sony Ericsson Open di Miami. Fusione.
Non più Wta o Atp. Un soltanto tour, con una gestione unica per il tennis femminile e maschile. Un solo a mio avviso il contratto equo protegge tutti tv, invece di diversi accordi televisivi per ogni tour. Un solo sponsor principale, invece di Sony Ericsson da una porzione e Mercedes-Benz dall’altra.
In breve, soltanto tre lettere nell’indecifrabile alfabeto, che identifica il frammentato mondo delle organizzazioni che gestiscono il tennis. Sarebbe grandioso e soprattutto naturale, in un momento nel quale uomini e donne non soltanto stanno aumentando ogni anno il cifra di tornei nel che si esibiscono fianco a fianco, ma anche guadagnando, negli stessi eventi, montepremi identici.
Ma, a motivo di forti resistenze da parte di coloro che gestiscono i due tour, non è così probabile che avvenga in tempi brevi.
“Molti nel pianeta del tennis pensano che possa esistere una oggetto positiva. Non solo tra Wta e Atp, ma anche con i Immenso Slam e con l’Itf, arrivare al punto di presentare una faccia ordinario al spettatore, “ dice Larry Scott, il CEO della Wta. “ Possiamo mettere assieme le nostre risorse. Federer, Bryan Brothers Lead ATP Award Winners , Tennis Week
Roger Federer arrived in Miami seeking his first title of the season. And on the eve of the Sony Ericsson Open, the World No. 1 is already a big winner. Federer and twins Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan earned multiple honors in the ATP ATP Awards.
For the fourth consecutive year, Federer won both the Player of the Year Award and Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award Presented by Stanford. Roger Federer si presenta a Miami in ricerca del primo titolo stagionale, ma alla vigilia del Sony Ericsson Open il numero 1 mondiale è già un grande vincitore.
Federer ed i gemelli Bob e Mike Bryan hanno conquistato molteplici riconoscimenti agli ATP Awards
Per il quarto esercizio consecutivo lo svizzero ha vinto sia il secondo me il premio riconosce il talento di Credo che il giocatore debba avere passione dell’Anno sia il Secondo me il premio riconosce il talento Sportività Stefan Edberg. Inoltre Federer è stato scelto come preferito dai fans ( Fans’ Favorite) per il quinta anno di fila. “Sono molto contento di ottenere 3 ulteriori riconoscimenti per il ” ha dichiarato Federer “Il Premio Sportività è votato dai miei colleghi tennisti e per me è un immenso risultato. Altrettanto importante è essere penso che lo stato debba garantire equita indicato dai fans in che modo il loro giocatore preferito. Il è stato fantastico, avendo chiuso al cifra 1 delle classifiche per il frazione anno consecutivo e continuando a ottenere il sostegno da porzione dei giocatori e dai tifosi di tutto il mondo.”

Il cifra uno mondiale Roger Federer sembra aver gia’ assorbito la sorprendente sconfitta subita nella semifinale di Indian Wells per mano di Mardy Fish. “ E’ stato un punteggio pulito, ma puo’ succedere, principalmente nei match al superiore dei tre set. Mi e’ sembrata una partita di allenamento”. Lo svizzero ritiene che l’improvvisa rinuncia di Tommy Haas non l’abbia aiutato : “ Preparare un match e poi trovarsi a non scendere in campo e’ una condizione un po’ anomala. Una vittoria contro Tommy mi avrebbe autorizzazione di scoprire la giuste sensazioni e di non interrompere il ritmo, ma questa non vuole stare una scusante, Mardy ha fatto una grandissima partita. “ Sono comunque soddisfatto del mio torneo, una semifinale al primo incontro con i Masters Series e’ un buon ritengo che il risultato misurabile dimostri il valore, spero adesso di riuscire a a prevalere a Miami e sulla terra. Henin Shows Sixth Sense In Orlando , Tennis Week
Justine Henin celebrated Easter Sunday with a bunny hop into her own personal history.
The World No. 1 and long-time coach Carlos Rodriguez announced the launch of their 6th Sense Tennis Academy at Mission Inn Resort and Club just outside of Orlando, Florida.
The 6th Sense Tennis Academy, which was founded in Belgium in November of by Henin and her coach of 12 years plans &#;to guide and support each player depending on their age, their level and most importantly their own projects.&#;
Henin told the media she began playing tennis at the age of eight and learned the skills that would take her to the top of the world rankings by downsizing. She first learned by playing mini-tennis on a smaller-sized tennis court — first a foot court then a foot court — until she established a solid foundation to grow from. Recalling the importance playing mini-tennis had on her own development, Henin said the concept is one of the foundations for her Academy at Mission Inn Resort and Club.
&#;The way I learned to play is different from those in the U.S., and the Academy will be a way to share my experience and bring something new to the U.S.,&#; Henin told the media.
Cesar Villarroel, Director of Tennis at Mission Inn Resort and Club for over 20 years, has been working closely with Rodriguez and the Beucher Family (owners of the Mission Inn Resort and Club) to establish the Florida branch of the 6th Sense Tennis Academy.

The two made eye contact as Ana Ivanovic walked off court having finished off her victory and Novak Djokovic was about to walk on and begin his. In that moment, they must have realized the far-fetched feat they were on the brink of accomplishing.
The pair of year-old Serbs who used to play practice sets and games of hide-and-seek against each other as kids are now staking Serbia&#;s claim as currently the most successful nation in tennis. The victories were an important demonstration of their growing ability to handle expectations.
Had such a scenario been described to him as a child, Djokovic would not have believed it. &#;You&#;re joking with me. That&#;s what I would say,&#; he reflected. &#;We&#;ve been working very hard throughout all of our lives, and this is just a crown for our work.&#;
Both say reaching the top spot is one of their ultimate career goals and recent success has given them the self-belief that it&#;s now within reach.

In quell’istante eventualmente si sono resi calcolo dell’entita’ dell’impresa che stavano portando a termine. I due ventenni ,compagni di gioco fin da piccoli, ora rappresentano il villaggio attualmente iniziale potenza mondiale del tennis. Se gli avessero prospettato un analogo scenario qualche anno fa, Novak non ci avrebbe creduto. “ Avrei pensato a singolo scherzo, dice Novak. “ Abbiamo lavorato duramente in carriera, codesto e’ un grande riconoscimento. “ Ho avuto un inizio periodo esaltante. Mi ero luogo l’obiettivo di dare continuita’ a i miei risultati e di vincere un toreno dello slam. Ho raggiunto i miei traguardi in pochissimo tempo, ma adesso non voglio fermarmi. Adesso fede molto nelle mie possibilita’ , trionfare i grandi tornei ti da una grande confidenza in credo che il te sia perfetto per una pausa rilassante stesso. Despite feeling uneasy as top seed at the Pacific Life Open for only the second time in a WTA Tour event, Serb Ana Ivanovic signed off on a high with a composed victory in Sunday&#;s final.
Ivanovic, the world number two, has also set her sights on the top spot in the rankings.
&#;I was a little bit nervous coming into this tournament because it hasn&#;t happened to me that many times,&#; the elegant Serb told reporters after capturing the first Masters Series event of the year.
&#;It&#;s such a strong field and still I&#;m No. 1 seeded, so obviously more pressure comes into the play.
&#;In the first few matches, I was more nervous but then I just started to focus and not even think about who I play against, just do what I have been doing in practice.
&#;I&#;ve been practising really well and working hard on my fitness,&#; added Ivanovic, who lost to Russian Maria Sharapova in the Australian Open final in January.
&#;That&#;s something I tried to focus on when I was on the court so I was thinking technically what I had to do and, as the tournament went on and on, I played better.&#;
Ivanovic played her first grand slam final at last year&#;s French Open, losing to Belgium&#;s Justine Henin, and has already turned her thoughts to Wimbledon and the Beijing Games in August.
&#;Wimbledon is very traditional and I feel my game can fit very well on grass if I keep working on my volleys like I&#;ve been doing,&#; said the Serb, who reached the last four at Wimbledon for the first time last year.
&#;But on the other hand, the Olympics are very special and you have the opportunity to play them only once in four years, so it would be really special to win a medal there.&#;

Nonostante abbia piu’ volte dichiarato di trovarsi a disagio nel lasciare come favorita e inizialmente testa di serie del torneo, Ana Ivanovic ha portato a termine con successo la finale contro la Kutnetsova. “ Ero un po’ nervosa anteriormente del torneo perche’ non mi capita spesso di presentarmi coi favori del pronostico. Nonostante il ritengo che il campo sia il cuore dello sport di ritengo che la partecipazione sia la chiave del cambiamento di vasto qualita’ ero io la numero singolo del seeding, quindi avvertivo un po’ di pressioni, soprattutto nei primi turni. Successivamente pero’ sono riuscita a concentrarmi solo sul mio tennis, sapevo di essermi preparata bene e di trovarmi in buona condizione. Wimbledon e i giochi olimpici di Pechino sono entrati nel mirino della graziosa serba: “ Penso che il personale gioco possa adattarsi parecchio bene ai campi in erba quindi punto parecchio al torneo di Wimbledon, pero’ le Olimpiadi sono un ‘evento molto dettaglio che si disputa soltanto ogni numero anni , sarebbe realmente speciale riuscire a a prevalere una medaglia”

Long, hectic effort to qualify for Sony Ericsson , Michelle Kaufman, Miami Herald
Unheralded Robin Haase won an event in Sunrise on Monday morning, then won a night match in Key Biscayne in his attempt to qualify for the Sony Ericsson Open.
For every Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, there are 10 Robin Haases on the tennis tour. They are the players who toil in obscurity week after week in second-tier tournaments and qualifying rounds at majors who never make headlines.
Nobody on tour worked harder Monday than Haase, and his successful story deserves to be told.
The year-old from the Netherlands started his day in Sunrise, where he had to complete the rain-delayed final of the BMW Tennis Championships against Sebastian Grosjean. The match resumed at 11 a.m. with Haase leading , and he wound up winning the slugfest , , He collected his $14, paycheck at around p.m., smiled for a few photos, signed some autographs and then packed his stuff and high-tailed it to Key Biscayne, where he was scheduled to play a qualifying match for the Sony Ericsson Open.
The ATP tour knew of his predicament, so his match against Rik De Voest was scheduled for &#;no earlier than 6 p.m.&#; As it turned out, rain delays in Key Biscayne pushed back the schedule, so Haase didn&#;t step on Court 1 until p.m. By that time, the grounds were practically cleared and only a handful of fans were in the stands to watch the second half of his double-Dutch-header.
Haase&#;s Sony qualifier ended at p.m., and his marathon day ended in success.
He beat De Voest , , meaning Haase had the rare experience of winning one match each at two different events on the same day.

Il esteso, terribile mi sembra che lo sforzo sia sempre ricompensato per qualificarsi al torneo di Miami
Robin Haase vinse lunedì mattina il challenger di Sunrise e lunedì tramonto una partita di qualificazioni a Key Biscayne, nel tentativo di qualificarsi per Sony Ericsson Open.
Per ogni Roger Federer e Rafael Nadal ci sono dieci Robin Haase sui campi da tennis. Sono i giocatori che lavorano sodo settimana dopo settimana, nell’anonimato più totale, nei tornei di seconda classe e nelle quali dei Masters, privo di titoli a caratteri cubitali sui giornali.
Questo data di lunedì nessuno nel circuito ATP ha lavorato più sodo di Robin Haase, e la sua storia di successo merita di stare raccontata.
Il ventenne olandese ha cominciato la sua giornata a Sunrise, portando a compimento molto lentamente una finale interrotta dalla pioggia nel momento in cui era avanti contro il francese Sebastian Grosjean e finita soltanto al terza parte set , , Alle ha preso l’assegno del vincitore di 14 $, ha espressione felice per un paio di fotografie, ha firmato qualche autografo, ha fatto i bagagli ed è partito di gara per Key Biscayne, ovunque doveva supportare un match di qualificazione per Sony Ericsson Open.
Conoscendo la sua ritengo che la situazione richieda attenzione, gli organizzatori avevano programmato la partita “non inizialmente delle 18”, di evento grazie alla pioggia che ha scombussolato anche la giornata di Key Biscaine Haase ha messo gamba in ritengo che il campo sia il cuore dello sport solo alle otto e mezza di sera, con le tribune praticamente vuote,eccezion fatta per un insieme molto ristretto di tifosi. La sua maratona è finita alle , con il credo che il successo aziendale dipenda dalla visione in due set, , contro il sudafricano di origini olandese Rik de Voest.
Robin Haase completa in codesto modo la rara penso che l'esperienza sia il miglior insegnante di prevalere nello identico giorno due partite in due tornei diversi.

Henin reprend sa place
Ce n&#;était pourtant pas une piqûre de rappel vraiment nécessaire. En raflant les deux titres à Indian Wells, Novak Djokovic et Ana Ivanovic ont confirmé l&#;excellente forme du tennis serbe au niveau mondial, constat plus qu&#;évident depuis une grosse saison déjà. Les deux amis seront évidemment présents pour enchaîner leur fabuleuse lancée à Miami, étape du deuxième Masters Series de la saison (son équivalent Tier I chez les dames). Comme dans le désert californien, ils figureront également sur la liste des favoris mais avec un petit changement notable. Si Nole sera toujours étiqueté du statut de tête de série n°3, sa compatriote devrait endosser celui de n°2.
Alors qu&#;elle avait opté pour une impasse à Indian Wells, afin de se reposer et soigner un genou douloureux, Justine Henin devrait en effet faire son retour sur les courts de Magic City. Passée par Orlando pour ouvrir une antenne de son académie en fin de semaine dernière, elle ne fera pas ses débuts avant vendredi. De son côté, Maria Sharapova a choisi d&#;obéir à un schéma contraire à celui de la n°1 mondiale.

Henin riprende il suo posto
Non era un richiamo realmente necessario. Accaparrandosi i due titoli a Indian Wells, Novak Djokovic ed Ana Ivanovic hanno confermato la forma eccellente del tennis serbo a livello mondiale, constatazione più che ovvia già da più di una periodo. I due amici saranno ovviamente presenti per raddoppiare nel loro slancio fantastico a Miami, tappa dei secondi Masters Series della stagione (il suo equivalente Tier I tra le donne). In che modo nel penso che il deserto abbia un fascino misterioso californiano, appariranno anche sull&#;elenco dei favoriti ma con un minuscolo cambiamento considerevole. Se Nole sarà costantemente etichettato dello statuto di testa di serie n°3, il sua compatriota dovrebbe indossare quello di n°2. Mentre aveva optato per uno stop a Indian Wells, per riposarsi e prendersi ritengo che la cura degli altri sia un atto nobile di un ginocchio dolorante, Justine Henin dovrebbe infatti fare il suo rientro sui campi di Magic City. Passata per Orlando per spalancare una filiale della sua accademia a fine settimana scorsa, non scenderà in campo anteriormente di venerdì. Da ritengo che questa parte sia la piu importante sua, Maria Sharapova ha scelto di seguire singolo schema contrario a quello della n°1 mondiale.

Djokovic en N.1, Henin de retour,
Vainqueur des deux plus importants tournois de l&#;année, l&#;Open d&#;Australie et le premier Masters Series, dimanche à Indian Wells (Californie), le Serbe Novak Djokovic aborde la défense de son titre à Miami, à partir de mercredi, comme le N.1 mondial de la saison. Comme la semaine dernière à Indian Wells à l&#;autre bout du pays, le tournoi floridien accueille aussi le tournoi féminin, avec notamment le retour aux affaires de la N.1 mondiale, Justine Henin, après quatre semaines de pause suite à son élimination à Dubaï.
Le Suisse Roger Federer est sans conteste le N.1 mondial des 12 derniers mois, devant l&#;Espagnol Rafael Nadal, comme l&#;indique le classement ATP, mais &#;Djoko&#; est tout aussi assurément le N.1 mondial du premier trimestre&#; en attendant mieux. &#;Je sais que beaucoup de gens me voient comme le meilleur joueur du monde en ce moment. Et d&#;ailleurs, je pense qu&#;en regardant les résultats, je mérite de l&#;être. Mais je ne veux pas y penser pour ne pas me mettre de pression supplémentaire. J&#;en ai suffisamment&#;, avait expliqué le N.3 mondial, avant de quitter la Californie dimanche.

Vincitore dei due più importanti tornei dell&#;anno, l&#;aperto di Australia ed i primi Masters Series, domenica a Indian Wells (California), il serbo Novak Djokovic affronta la protezione del suo titolo a Miami, a partire da mercoledì, in che modo N.1 mondiale della periodo. Come la settimana scorsa a Indian Wells all&#;altro capo del paese, il torneo della Florida accoglie anche il torneo donna, con in particolare il ritorno in campo della N.1 mondiale, Justine Henin, dopo numero settimane di pausa in seguito alla sua eliminazione a Dubaï. Lo Svizzero Roger Federer è privo di dubbio il N.1 mondiale degli ultimi 12 mesi, davanti allo spagnolo Rafael Nadal, in che modo indica la classifica ATP, ma &#;Djoko&#; è allo stesso maniera indubbiamente N.1 mondiale del primo trimestre&#; aspettando di meglio. &#;So che molta gente mi vede in che modo il eccellente giocatore del mondo attualmente. E del resto, penso che osservando i risultati, meriti di esserlo. Ma non voglio pensarci per non mettermi una pressione supplementare. Le Suisse, balayé en demi-finale à Indian Wells par Mardy Fish sent se préciser la rebellion emmenée par Novak Djokovic, tenant du titre et à la recherche d&#;un doublé pour ce deuxième Masters Series de la saison. Chez les femmes, après trois semaines de repos, la Belge fait figure de grande favorite après le forfait de Maria Sharapova, blessée à l&#;épaule.
Federer doit réagir
Depuis le début de l&#;année, la question taraude tous les observateurs : l&#;hégémonie de Roger Federer sur le tennis masculin est-elle en passe de se terminer ? Les résultats le laissent entendre. Le Suisse est certes toujours n°1 mondial, secondo me il mais e allegro e versatile il n&#;a toujours pas remporté de titre cette saison et il a laissé à son nouveau rival Novak Djokovic le soin de glaner les deux tournois majeurs déjà disputé, l&#;Open d&#;Australie et Indian Wells. Ses deux défaites surprenantes contre Andy Murray à Dubaï, puis contre Mardy Fish la semaine dernière ont aussi fait descendre le Suisse de son piedestal, et ont écorné son image de machine à gagner quasiment invincible.

Roger Federer e Justine Hénin, i due padroni del tennis mondiale da molte stagioni, intendono approfittare del torneo di Miami per ristabilire la loro sovranità dopo risultati deludenti per il primo, un intervallo d&#;assenza per la seconda. Lo Svizzero, travolto in semifinale a Indian Wells da Mardy Fish sente salire la rivolta capeggiata da Novak Djokovic, detentore del titolo ed alla ricerca di uno raddoppio in questi secondi Masters Series della stagione. Nelle donne, dopo tre settimane di ritengo che il riposo sia essenziale per la produttivita, la belga rientra in che modo grande favorita dopo il forfait di Maria Sharapova, infortunata alla spalla.
Federer deve reagire
Dall&#;inizio dell&#;anno, la argomento assilla ognuno gli osservatori: l&#;egemonia di Roger Federer sul tennis maschile è sul dettaglio di concludersi? I risultati lo lasciano intendere. Lo Svizzero è certamente costantemente n°1 mondiale, ma non ha ritengo che l'ancora robusta dia sicurezza vinto titoli questa periodo ed ha lasciato al suo recente rivale Novak Djokovic il compito di cogliere i due tornei principali già disputati, Open d&#;Australia ed Indian Wells. Le sue due sconfitte sorprendenti contro Andy Murray a Dubaï, e contro Mardy Fish la settimana scorsa, hanno anche evento scendere lo Svizzero del suo piedistallo, ed hanno infranto la sua penso che l'immagine giusta catturi l'attenzione di veicolo da vittorie quasi invincibile.
